On Wednesday Andrew found a young tawny owl in the bracken. Although it had flown past him it didn't seem to be able to do anything once it had landed. We telephoned Fritton Owl Sanctuary who had taken a barn owl from us before and they came out and collected it. They will feed it and then hopefully release it to the wild again. Tonight we went out to check the new lights on the toilet block; the tawny owls were hooting noisily. I wonder if they are missing the little one that went to the owl sanctuary.
